Millions of people in Ukraine have fled for their lives following escalating violence, and more are fleeing every day. The overwhelming majority of the refugees and displaced are women and children, and all are in need of humanitarian assistance. We need to take action. Join USA for UNHCR and add your name in solidarity with refugees fleeing war and violence in Ukraine.
UNHCR is on the ground providing assistance and protection and increasing its capacity to ensure families and children find comfort and safety in welcoming arms. Neighboring countries such as Poland, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia have kept their borders open and their communities are stepping up tremendously with support and solidarity. And here at home, the U.S. government recently granted temporary protected status to allow Ukrainians already in the United States to live and work here for the next 18 months. But we need your help to do more. All of these responses are vital to providing safety and support to those seeking safety during this emergency.
As Americans and global citizens, we believe that when people seek safety from conflict they should be welcomed wherever they are in the world. By signing your name today, you’re joining tens of thousands of compassionate people who stand with resilient displaced families.
Please, act now by adding your name in solidarity with refugees fleeing war and violence in Ukraine. >>
